Education
Moonbeyms believe education should be a combination of study and application. This means, most of their learning process is hands-on when possible. This means they have a more apprentice focused method to learn.
Baby Education
Younger Moonbeyms are usually taught basic survival skills such as knowing which berries and mushrooms to eat and making sure to gauge good water sources. Parents often teach their children at home the basics of math, shapes, reading, and writing. Studies about history and lore are verbally passed down in a storytelling hour.
Some communities, especially ones with large Orphanages, have children centers. Children centers provide a place for parents to leave their children in case both parents need to work or take care of errands. In them are ways to kids to socialize with each other and hear history and lore stories. Often community members will take turns hosting story hour. Children centers often provide children with the basics of math, shapes, reading, and writing.
Teen Education
Teen education is usually half day. There is a morning half and a afternoon half and which half a teen goes to depends on their Apprenticeship focus. for example a focus on baking or farming would have their morning half doing an apprenticeship while their afternoon half in the schoolhouse. Teens are allowed to move from one Apprenticeship to another during a semester so they can get a feel of what they are good at and like. They can also approach certain areas not listed in school for apprenticeship and submit paperwork for approval.
Teen education until the teen decides on an apprenticeship or until they become an adult, whichever comes first.
Adult Education
There are no colleges in Moonbeym world but further education is still possible. It involves seeking out specialized teachers for personal study and collecting books. There are some Moonbeyms whose whole life is to learn everything they can. They are called scholars and they travel all over the world seeking teachers and various apprenticeships. Adult education is not common, usually people are already set in a job or career or don't see the point of it unless you're a scholar.
