Moonbeyms tend to have a high population of orphans. This is due to the bonding between parents. When a child is born, there is a bonding period, where a child and parent develop a connection. For reasons not completed understood, bondings don't always take and the parent will lose interest in the child or even find themselves repelled by the child. These children are sent to the orphanage to grow up there and in some cases adopted out to other parents. It is a sad but normal aspect of the Moonbeym life.

 

At Sprout Orphanage, the orphans are in even greater abundance due to the mysterious circumstances surrounding the town. Children and teens are allowed to stay in the Orphanage until they become an adult. 

 

Remember, if your Moonbeym doesn't have an official Moonbeym as their parent who they are living with then they will be housed in the orphanage.
